The map shown earlier in this thread is incorrect if the blue marker is indicating DALTON ST. This, I think, is TALBOT ST. DALTON ST can be found by going up CAVANDISH ST from the blue marker, turn left at ROBERT HALL ST, first right into DALTON ST which is now a much longer street with about 60 houses whereas TALBOT ST had about 20. Sorry to be pickie but it might be important to somebody.

As I said in 2012, William Hankins (on the memorial) was my grandfather. However, he did NOT die in Barnsley, but April 21st. 1984 in Halstead, Essex. Incidentally, among the photos bequeathed to me by my grandparents, there are a few which relate to men mentioned on the memorial and their families.
