Can anyone help with this one? I now believe that this is John Owen Private John Uwen Service Number 3224 Died 13/11/1916 Gordon Highlanders 7th Bn. The 1911 census shows John living with his mother Emma at 4 Dawson Street, Pendlebury. Private John Owen's war gratuity was given to his mother Emma.

I cannot match Herbert, I think the date may be incorrect. Lance Corporal Herbert Wright 10599 Border Regiment, 2nd Bn. Died 1 November 1914, commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
Son of Maria Wright, 2 Marie Street, Higher Broughton.
