Hi Tonyrod. I've done some checking and they don't seem have the marriage of John E Lee and Elizabeth Taylor on Lancashire BMD yet. These localised indexes are a work in progress, and are not complete for all districts yet. The advantage of Lancashire BMD would have been that it would have told us whether it was a Register Office wedding, or if the marriage took place in a church. This means, if you know the church you can check the church marriage registers for the details, which is cheaper than buying the marriage certificate. The marriage is not coming up on Lancashire On-Line Parish Clerks either. The best I can advise at this stage would be to order a copy of the marriage certificate, either directly from the Manchester Registrar's Office (£9), or from the General Register Office www.gro.gov.uk (£9.25). This will give you her father's name and occupation, and confirm her age at marriage. I've checked both www.ancestry.co.uk and www.findmypast.com for 1901 and 1911 Census but there are too many Elizabeth Taylors listed to be able to identify exactly the correct one. Sorry I can't be more help at this stage. Please feel free to PM me if I can be of more help.

Now i could not spot Robert Stubbs on the 1911, so either he died or is some where ells but not with his famil? He could have married? I did spot a couple of things, but could not pin point him 100% There was this: Robert Stubbs Age in 1911: 25 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1886 Birth Place: Salford, Lancashire, England County/Island: Military India. But also found a few who had either died or in different regiments.
