Are these actual burial records? This James Duckworth IS my granddad but the reference is the same as the memorial.

Ok................it's just saying that he's mentioned on the memorial, not that he's actually buried there? (i'm easily confused)

He probably isn't buried there, you could ring agecroft, they would tell you more I don't know how it works, but as you now have a burial number, they may have notes attached etc etc and you won't get charged, its worth a try .....isn't it ??

Yes, i'll try that--- --------My trip to salford has been put back a week....purely 'cos i couldn't get 2 consecutive nights accommodation., so I'm coming on the 10th to the 12th. I now got digs and train tickets. Is there anybody who, on the 11th,can take 10 mins out to show my where 4341-B24 is in Weaste? I like to think i was there a few years ago but i was only guessing. I know there's no stone....if there was the Luftwaffe put it in the canal. It's my G'G'dad. I hope by then to have found out if the 'J Parkin' in St Johns is the brother of Sam.

That'll do me----thank you. I shall show you the headstone that was the defining moment that made me want to find my roots, it's just inside the gates (the headstone not my roots) I'm stopping in Eccles so i may even walk up.

They can take card payments at the shop at the Museum. I know, I've used mine both times I've been! I think there's a minimum spend of £5.00 on cards, but not sure (something to do with bank charges if I remember correctly). Hopefully I'll get the chance to see you while you're up here!
