Emma,
Sorry I dont have any photo's.....This was my church...1950's, walked with the scholars...It was a lovely place....I also remember them moving into a small building.....I wonder if members of the Broughton Forum will know anything....There are some Whit Laners on that Forum....I will ask tomorrow, as I am a Member...

This Roll of Honour was not one of the ones we saw at the basement store of Salford Museum on 12/11/2010. Last known sighting of the Roll of Honour was discussed on the Salford Forums here. We will, of course, continue to try to ascertain its present location.

This is a photocopy of a photograph showing the Roll of Honour from St George's, the picture is not enhanced enough for us to work from but we hope this Roll of Honour shouldn't be too dfficult to locate. This Roll of Honour is framed and displayed on the wall of the Salford Local History Library. It relates to Charlestown Congregational Church, which was NOT dedicated to St. George (or any other saint). St. George's Church, Charlestown, of which now only the Spire still stands by the roundabout at the end of the M602, was a separate church, and was a Church of England church, not Congregational.

We would still be very grateful to hear any information about the Brass Plaque memorial which is currently missing. In anyone has any photographs of it, it would be wonderful if we could obtain copies. Please contact one of the staff members via PM, email, or on the thread if you have any information about the memorial.
