My grandad John Harrison was the last man to work on the underground canal system, I was delighted to see that SalfordOnline have done an article and some of the photos used feature my grandad. John was born in Bolton in 1910 and was known as Jack, he worked as a coal miner and later on in his career when he was a Deputy he was known as "The Admiral" My grandad and Glen's dad worked together and I'm delighted that Glen has been able to share so much of his knowledge with people by writing books, doing talks and now he is doing interviews on the internet During WW2 even though my grandad didn't have to go to war he served with the Royal Marines as he wanted to "do his bit for the country" My grandad was such an important part of my life and he will always be remembered. I hope you enjoy the video

Debs showed me the videos earlier, and I must say they are brilliant. Hope we can get a copy of the videos as a file, rather than having to stream off the internet.
