Hello pierce09, Welcome to the forum. I know that Herbert Viner has links with Salford and John Viner originally hailed from Birmingham. I am presuming that all your other family members mentioned in your post have links with Manchester. Would you kindly confirm? In the meantime some additional information on 2568 John Viner: 2658 John Viner born Long Acre, Birmingham, attested on the 13th August 1914 aged 28 years old. He had previously served with the Royal Canadian Infantry. Married Mary Maynard in Halifax, Nova Scotia (1909). 1911 census shows John and Mary living at 10 Edgely Street, Gorton, Manchester. Arrived in France on the 21/4/15, back to England 9/5/15 (due to wounds). Discharged on the 16/6/16 (wounds). Entitled to the 1915 Star, Britsh War and Victory medals, as well as the Silver Badge. For more information on the 2nd and 3rd Battalions visit our friends at the themanchesters.orgSilver War Badge entry:
