Hi there,
I know there is a small memorial stone outside of this church, with about 4 names on it, I don't know if there is anything inside the church. But this church has now closed, it was closed down last week, due to the building being in poor condition, and they can't afford to pay for the repairs. I just thought you may like to know, as I don't know what will happen with the church, and as I say I don't know if there are any memorials inside.
Alison.

Alison,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We have photographed the memorial stone outside the church, just need to check if there was anything inside. Do you have any contact details?

Sorry, I don't have any contact details. I have only been in this church once, and I don't remember seeing anything in the room that I was in, so maybe the only memorial is the one outside.
Alison.

This church closed in February 2014, and following an enquiry on the SWARM Facebook Group, I have been looking into the apparent 'disappearance' of the memorial. I am pleased to say that the memorial is safe. It was removed to a new location at the Worsley Road United Reformed Church, and a service of rededication was held on Remembrance Sunday 2014. worsleyroadmethodistchurch.yolasite.com/war-memorial-rededication.php
