To the glory of God in loving memory of Private Thomas Mather border rgt killed in action in France December 14th 1915 aged 22 years. Also Gunner Harold Mather R.G.A. killed in action in France September 28th 1917 aged 28 years. The two boys had a sister named Bertha. Was it their Bertha who died in 1946? Bertha Mather Salford (Weaste) Cemetery Private W/83511, Auxiliary Territorial Service who died on 14 December 1946

Bertha, the sister of Thomas and Harold, was born about 1896. The Bertha Mather buried at Weaste was born about 1919.
