Private 2473, Robert Casey of the 1/7th Lancashire Fusiliers. London Gazette; 14th Sept 1915 For conspicuous gallantry on the 4th June, 1915, during an action south of Krithia, Gallipoli Peninsula. Under an Officer and with one other man he charged and captured a small Turkish redoubt and continued to hold it after the Officer was killed, using Turkish rifles and ammunition when their own was exhausted.
