Clifford signed up for the territorials, 6th Manchesters, in May 1908 for four years. Died during an air raid, buried by Reverend Percy Davies. His parents John and Joyce Humphries are living at 57 Gordon Rd, Monton, with Clifford's brother Ronald, in 1919. Clifford's sister Marjorie Humphries is living at 177 Camberwell Grove, Denmark Hill, London. Clifford is also remembered on the St Mary's, Eccles church memorial.
