heres some info on pte h.parkinson whos buried in weaste cemetery.
pte 62118 herbert parkinson 16th south lancs regt 27 doveridge st,pendleton he was retained on home service and employed at salford docks,he was working on the SS romney,and in the darkness,stepped through an open hatchway and fell into the water and drowned

hiya gary. would your pals from friends of salford cemeteries be able to find out the date of a soldiers burial,theres a discrepancy with the date of death of pte harry basketter in weaste cemetery,his death is recorded on the CWGC as 12-1-17,but on ancestry its listed as jan 1918,i also saw a reference to his pension review that said he was in a sanatorium in june 1917.
