Thats not true Jim lol, you have loads of Friends and don't you do an inventory for the Museums and Libraries Jim, how many people are on the St Pauls Peel, Memorial ?? From memory, I think 120 WWI and 37 WWII. All the ones on the brass plaques (I think) are on the cenotaph, as are the actual 11 graves. I could only find four with CWGC stones - think the others may be family graves, but will need to check the church's grave plan to make sure I get the correct grave locations from the references. Good excuse for another visit to the church! You're right Debs. I do have lots of friends. But there are some who are REAL friends, who I'm proud to call friends, and who I give thanks for the honour of knowing.

This photo shows Sidney Barnes who is remembered on the St Paul memorial. His name was the last to be added to the memorial as his mother couldn't accept that her son was gone. The photo shows his fiancee Edith Barnes, my great aunt who was in the land army, she passed away earlier this year. :poppy: Attachments:

Emma,
What a handsome couple, such a sad end. I shall raise a glass to Sidney and Edith this evening.

I can't find any others for Coldstream Guards either, and the one I have found I can't find any link with Little Hulton (this is the same entry as listed earlier, from Morecambe). Mistake on the memorial perhaps??

Linked to Oldham though Jim, so don't think its a mistake, his wife could have moved there ??
